I have always thought of 'mum jeans' as being the high-waisted, not quite a boyfriend/not quite a straight leg style from the 80s and 90s, which were very comfortable but equally as unflattering and, therefore, should be avoided at all costs. The thought had never even crossed my mind that mum jeans could ever be anything but daggy and unfashionable let alone trending this season, so it took a little while to get my head around the idea that they are now being rocked out on the high-street, but hey? I'm always up for a challenge...
